A Simple Supportive Approach
We take a careful, family-centered approach to tongue- and lip-tie care.
We believe feeding support and therapy should come first whenever possible. Surgical release is recommended only when it is likely to improve function.
We work closely with feeding therapists, lactation consultants, and pediatric providers to support each child’s care.
When additional support is helpful, we may recommend supportive options such as BabyLase®—a gentle, non-surgical laser therapy that can support oral function as part of your child’s care plan.
How the Process Works
Our process is designed to move thoughtfully, giving families clear information and support at every step.
Step 1-Feeding Support First
When feeding concerns arise, we encourage families to begin with a feeding specialist such as a lactation consultant, occupational therapist, or speech-language pathologist.
Step 2-Thoughtful Evaluation
If feeding challenges continue, we carefully evaluate how your child’s tongue and mouth are functioning and take time to understand your concerns.
Step 3-Treatment and Ongoing Support (When Needed)
If additional support is needed, we discuss next steps together. This may include continued therapy, supportive options like BabyLase®, or a tongue- or lip-tie release when appropriate.
